The anti-Vietnam war protests that emerged from the sizzling embers of the Cold War were a myriad of the most influential movements and rallies that the United States had ever had. For the first time, the majority of the American youth gained their voices concerning the decisions of their beloved country. The protests held nationwide during the Vietnam War represented the core of the American Spirit. Conforming was not an option when corruption and warmongering attitudes and actions that were supported by the American government and the military. The American Spirit that materialized during the American Revolution reared it's proud face once again in this powerful movement. American History was forever altered with the fearless outbursts, rallies, and demands for justice and peace. It was a major milestone in American history because of the intensity and passion vocalized by the rebels, the powerful influence of rock and roll, the ruthless bombing and massacres of Vietnam, the involvement of college campuses, and the unfaltering support of legendary peace keepers.
